From Act II, Chapter 4
The Wild Hogs rule!
Ten bikers strong, moving as one, the big Harleys scream down Route 1, the coast road, on a high cliff above the heaving Pacific surf.
At the center of the snaking chrome: Jordan's King Abdullah and Rob Richer. only one actually rules.
They saw the movie Wild Hogs last month. HM loved it, laughed like hell. That Tim Allen guy. and don't get him started on Martin Lawrence.
They'd decided, why not? "You're the king," rob said. "Let's do it."
The morning mist, salty with ocean sprays, mixes with Harley fumes as they race south, two hours from San Francisco, on their way to a roadhouse in . . . Carmel? . . .
King Abdullah has ruled Jordan since the death of his father, King Hussein, in 1999. Abdullah is known to be a close ally of the U.S., but just how close is for the first time revealed in The Way of the World. The book follows Abdullah on a Tim Allen-inspired motorcycle trip through California and to an important '07 dinner with President Bush, and it relates the previously untold story of his connection to former CIA agent Rob Richer.
